The Hope Textiles Industry project is working to improve the health status of adolescent girls and women across Africa by generating livelihood avenues in rural areas.
Founded and managed by the CCDO (Children Care Development Organization)
Starting in November 2020, Hope Textiles Industry manufactures different types of sanitary pads, baby fabrics, mosquito nets, school uniforms, African cultural dress, bed sheets, school bags, blankets and general clothing for both women and children.
Fostering enterprise on a pilot basis
CCDO, an organization with a shared vision and mission to support rural communities in improving their livelihood and alleviating poverty. Mission; To develop adolescent girls and women as entrepreneurs while taping their potentials and imparting training for their skill diversification and becoming self-sufficient as part of the social enterprise of the low-cost sanitary napkin business and our responsibility to society as a whole.
Low cost and accessible sanitary ware
We plan to produce sanitary towels using a low-cost machine aimed at improving hygiene and eco-friendly usage by underprivileged women and adolescent girls in poor neighbourhoods and slums; ensuring that we address Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) intervention.
